Bosbury beaten by 72 runs
MARDEN v
BOSBURY.
BOSBURY lost their first Marches League Second Division match by 72 runs.
In the early exchanges, Marden's Peter Gale was trapped lbw to a full delivery with the score on 20.
Des Lawrence lasted until the 23rd over, failing to score when he was brilliantly caught and bowled by Jon Owen, with the score on 49.
Pratley and Richards took the score to 76 before Pratley (38 with three sixes and two fours) was bowled by Owen, who finished with three wickets for just nine runs from 12 overs.
Pete Richards managed to remain, but Mark Wadley removed his partner Rupert Lawrence with a brilliant run-out, and Richards for 44, with the Marden tail-enders struggling to 132 for 9 off 45 overs.
After tea, Bosbury's Chris Stokes was bowled by Williams in the second over, and George Abbey was adjudged lbw in the seventh over, with the score on two.
Bosbury's bad batting display continued when Dave Daffin was next to go in the 11th over, bowled off his back pad for nought.
The steady Mark Wadley (four no) hung around with the lower order, and the injured Simon Probyn demolished the tail to finish with impressives figures of four for ten.
