Ledbury open season in style with good win
CRICKHOWELL v
LEDBURY.
LEDBURY got their Marches League division one season off to a winning start at Crickhowell.
Matt Ehrlich helped Ledbury up to 115 in their first innings, then skipper Steve Large put in an inspired spell of 6 for 7 in ten overs to lead his side home.
Ledbury batted first and faced with some erractic opening bowling, Pritchard (18) and Ehrlich moved comfortably to 33 in eight overs, before Pritchard was caught and bowled.
Ehrlich got useful support from Evans (7no) and they added a vital 22 for the seventh wicket before Ehrlich was finally bowled out for 50, including one six and 7x fours.
Ledbury reached 115 all out.
Ledbury's bowlers turned things around.
The Crickhowell top seven batsmen perished in quick fashion as they were reduced to 29-7 in just 15 overs.
Only when Morgan (19no) came out to join Watts, who was dispatched by Pritchard.
Price (11) started to attack Ledbury's support bowlers and with a nervy finish looking likely skipper Large brought himself back into the attack and in consecutive balls removed Price and Jones to win the game for Ledbury.
