Green go top after victory

BURGHILL II v BARNARDS GREEN IV.

BARNARDS Green 4th XI stormed to the top of the Crusader Worcestershire Cricket League Division Four after a convincing win over Burghill.

Burghill won the toss and elected to bowl first. Dean and Lewis put together a partnership of 80 in 20 overs.

Following the loss of both Lewis (35) and Dean (33), the rest of the middle and lower order failed to come to terms with the pace bowling of Biggs and the Green were bowled out for 151 in 43 overs.

Burghill were reduced to 26 for 4 inside 10 overs.

In the end, the bowling and fielding of the green was too much for Burghill and they were dismissed for 87 in 27 overs. This gave the Green 24 points and put them top of the table.
