Ripple look all set to secure the title

WITH two four-point wins this week, Ripple have all but assured themselves of top position in Division Three of the Brewin Dolphin Securities Malvern Table Tennis League come the end of the season.

Firstly, Ripple trounced CSSC Nomads 9-1 before going one better and whitewashing X-Police 10-0.

Against the Nomads, Roger Davies, Pete Nash and Peter Quy won all their singles and the only set Ripple dropped was their doubles to Adrian Fray and Tony Hughes.

Now, the main question in the division is who will be in the second place for promotion.

CSSC Nomads have two games in hand but Bromyard Tigers are 10 points ahead and it is likely that the last match of the season will be crucial as it will be between Tigers and Nomads.

Results: Ripple 9 CSSC Nomads 1; X-Police 0 Ripple 10.
